Are you someone who says the following phrases a lot?

“In a minute.”

“I will later.”

Or

“I’ll do it tomorrow.”

If you are – please remove em’ from your vocabulary IMMEDIATELY and Seize The Day! As a matter of fact – take it down to where you’re seizing the minute or even the second! Why? Because we never know how much time we have left – and it’s vital we use every single bit of it!

CBS recently had a show called, “Live For The Moment”. It showcased a gentlemen by the name of Roger Childs who has ALS. The whole premise of the show is allowing people to live their dreams and at the same time do exactly what the show is titled and live for the moment.

Now here are a couple tough questions.

Why is it we have to watch a show like this to be moved to action? Why does reflection come more times than not – after a loved one passes away? And here’s the BIG One! Why in the world do we allow ourselves to slip back into the every day routines of life without continuing on with that red hot passion we felt during reflection?

Your children are only babies and young for a moment! Take pictures! Make videos! Get on the ground and play with them! Pretend – even when it feels silly or you don’t think you have the time! Push em’ on the swing when they ask! Actively avoid saying, “No.”, “As soon as I’m done.”, or any other delays. Kiss em’, hug em’, tell em’ you love em’, let them know how awesome they are, and soak up every second you can with em’!

Be an awesome friend! Make visits! Make calls! Send cards! Offer help! And be sure you let your friends know how much they mean to you!

Be the best son or daughter you can! Just as with your friends – reach out when ever possible! Never close an interaction with your parents without letting them know how much you love em’!

Be a great Pet Owner! Make sure you give lots of attention to em’ and show em’ lots of love and affection! Almost all pet owners will tell – whatever you give you’ll get back tenfold!

Be an over the top husband, wife, or significant other! Reignite the passions you felt when you were dating! Go out of your way to cause a laugh or a smile! Be supportive! Pamper and put your significant other on a pedestal! Zig Ziglar has 2 quotes within this area that I love! One was – when asked when you should tell your significant other you love them? His response was, “Before someone else does!” The other was, “If you treat your (significant other) like a thoroughbred – you won’t end up with a nag!”

And last but certainly not least – let go of negativity! If you’re wasting even one second harboring ill, hateful, and/or negative feelings – DON’T! It’s not healthy or productive! Let it all go and live for the moment – not for the past!

In a nutshell – be sure to live EVERY second as if it were your last! One of these days it WILL be!

I was going through the Internet Archive, WayBackMachine.Org, and I found out that I started my first NaijaMotivation Blog in 2006, May to be specific. My first post happens to be on action and I have decided to share this post with you. If not for taking action on my dreams, I don’t know where I will be today.

I don’t want to talk much about this interesting topic, I want you to read this interesting and empowering piece and let me know what you think about it. Action is, and will still be, a relevant word for years to come.

Enjoy this

Have you ever imagined what you would have been able to achieve if you have acted on every ideas that come to you? Have you ever imagined what your life would have become if ACTION had been your watchword earlier? Have you ever imagined the kind of state you could have been now if you have been a person of action?

There are so many times we have an idea that would have changed our lives, can your remember? There are so many times we have seen somebody do some things and wonder: “I have thought of that before.” There are so many times we have felt we could do some things but somehow, we couldn’t or wouldn’t.

Action is a wonderful word we all need to get used to. You never can tell where you will get to or what you will have without acting on your inner longings. The whole development we have in the world today wouldn’t have been possible if those who conceived the ideas didn’t stand up to act. If they had decided to wish those things come to pass and NEVER bother acting, I’m sure we would still have been in the stone age.

The truth of the matter is that there are no substitutes for action. Prayer, fasting, wishing and day dreaming are NEVER going to displace action in our lives. Prayers have the part they play in our lives, but they are no substitute for action. The earlier we understand this, the better for us all. If you ever want to achieve anything meaningful with your life, you need to get up and ACT! Nothing will fall on your laps if you are not willing to stand up and go get it. If things just fall from heaven, the whole world would have been filled with lazy people who will just wake up and pray that things happen to them on their bed.

In the last two months, I have had several encounters with this powerful word. I couldn’t just believed all one can do when you decide to act. It has always been ringing in my brains where ever I go. If you are to emulate me, you won’t believe all that will be happening in your life immediately you decide to act on your dreams or any idea that you have.

If you think action is not important in our lives, when you wake up tomorrow, just stay on your bed and begin to pray that food will prepare itself and it will automatically walk up to you while still in bed. Do this for one hour and spice it up with tongues and see what happens. I’m sure hunger will descend heavily on you that nobody will teach you to stop wasting your time and get up.

If you don’t get your food by this means, why do you think something Big, a miracle or whatever, will just happen to you by just sitting down on your butt? Why do you think you will be able to achieve anything important with your life by just wishing and hoping. How many times have you thought of that lucky break happening to you which never does?

I want you to know this, NOTHING will ever happen to you if you don’t act. Get up, sop WISHING and start doing something! That is all you need to live a meaningful life. You have wished enough, prayed enough, fasted enough, you have even shared your vision(s) enough. . Please add any form of action to your life. No matter how little it is, you will still know you have done something at the end of the day. When you act consistently, on your ideas, you will be surprised at the power you will have at your disposal. You will also feel good about yourself.

What is that thing that has been distracting you from acting, let it be a thing of the past TODAY!

This is to your success as a person of ACTION!

Have you ever wondered how to turn nothing into something?

First, in order to turn nothing into something, you’ve got to start with some ideas and imagination. Now, it might be hard to call ideas and imagination nothing; but how tangible are those ideas? That is a bit of a mystery.

I don’t believe that ideas that can be turned into a hotel, ideas that can be turned into an enterprise, ideas that can be turned into a new vaccine or ideas that can be turned into some miracle product, should be called nothing. But tangibly, you have nothing. Interesting!

Think of it, ideas that become so powerful in your mind and in your consciousness that they seem real to you even before they become tangible. Imagination that is so strong, you can actually see it.

When I built my first home for my family in Idaho all those years ago, before I started construction, I would take my friends and associates out to the vacant property and give them a tour of the house. Is that
possible? Is it possible to take someone on a tour through an imaginary house? And the answer is, “Yes, of course.” “Here is the three-car garage,” I used to say, and my friends would look and say, “Yes, this garage will hold three cars.” I could really make it “live.” I would take them on a tour throughout the house…. “Here is
the fireplace, and look, this side is brick and the other side is stone.” I could make it so real…. “Follow me through the rest of the house. Take a look through the picture window here in the kitchen. Isn’t the view great?” One day, I made the house so real that one of my friends bumped his elbow on the fireplace. I mean, it was that real.

So, the first step of turning nothing into something is to imagine the possibilities. Imagine _all_ of the possibilities. One of the reasons for seminars, sermons, lyrics from songs and testimonials of others is to give us an idea of the possibilities, to help us imagine and to see the potential.

Now here is the second step for turning nothing into something: You must believe that what you imagine _is_ possible for you. Testimonials, like “If I can do it, you can do it,” often become a support to our belief. And we start believing.

First we imagine it’s possible. Second, we start to believe that what’s possible is possible for us.

We might also believe because of our own testimonial. Here is what your testimonial might say: “If I did it once, I can do it again. If it happened for me before, it could very well happen again.” So we believe not only the testimonials of others who say, “If I can do it, you can do it; If I can change, you can change; If I can start with nothing, you can start with nothing; If I can turn it all around, you can turn it all around.” Then we also have the support of our own testimonial, if we’ve accomplished something before. “If we did it
once, we can do it again. If we did it last year, we can do it this year.” So those two things together are very powerful. Now, we do not have actual substance yet, although it is very close.

Again, step one is to imagine the possibilities. Step two is to imagine that what is possible is possible for you. Here is what we call step two: faith to believe. In fact, one writer said this, “Faith is substance.” An interesting word: “substance,” the powerful ability to believe in the possibilities that are possible for you. If you have faith to believe, that faith is substance, substance meaning “a piece of the real.” Now it’s not “the real,” it’s not this podium, but it is so powerful that it is very close to being real, and so the writer said, “The faith is a piece of, the substance of.”

He then goes on to call it evidence, substance and evidence. It is difficult to call substance and evidence “nothing.” It is nothing, in the sense that it cannot be seen except with the inner eye. You can’t get a hold of it because it isn’t _yet_ tangible. But it is possible to turn nothing, especially ideas and imaginations, into something, if you believe that it is now possible for you—that substance and evidence become so
powerful that they can now be turned into reality.

So the first step is to imagine what is possible; the second is to have the faith to believe that what is possible is possible for you. And now the third step is that you go to work to make it real. You go to work to make it a hotel. You go to work to make it an enterprise.

You go to work and make it good health. You go to work and make it an association. You go to work and make it a good marriage. You go to work and make it a movement. You make it tangible. You make it viable.
You breathe life into it and then you construct it. That is such a unique and powerful ability for all of us human beings. Put this to work and start the miracle process today!

New Year resolutions need to get your life moving forward or else forget it . And for that to happen you need to really desire a change to act as a propelling force driving you to keep to the resolutions you have made.

Let’s Get Serious With The Business

One of the biggest mistake people make about making money –before even they start. Many fail to realize that money is not just the physical paper or metallic coins they see . Money is more than that. It is a force that attracts wealth to you.

They start off wrong and get offended when things would not turn around as they want. If you don’t get down and understand how making money works , you may never get anything real.

The utmost desire of most people is how to make the most of their lives and achieve fulfillment. Most (if not all ) want to get rich. Most never get to achieve this not because it is impossible but because they are not prepared for what it takes. Not that what is takes is difficult per say but that they are not mentally, spiritually and emotionally geared in the right direction.

This article will help you make new year resolutions that will get you real money. The article will come in two(2) series .

Let’s Look at Some Basic New Year Resolutions You Will Need To Take Serious

a. Define What YOU Want.

b. Understand What Money Is All About.

c. Make Up Your Mind To Make Money

d. Rid Yourself Of Errornous Thoughts

e. Decide To Organize Yourself

f. Believe In Yourself And The Value You Sell

g. Connect Right

In the next series I will expand on each point. Keep a date with me and you will be in for a big ,big new year.

Everyone, at some point of his or her life, has dreamed of being somebody special, somebody big. Who hasn’t fantasized about being the one who hits the game-winning homer? Who hasn’t dreamed of being the homecoming queen? And how many times have we dreamed of being rich, or successful, or happy with our relationships?

Often, we dream big dreams and have great aspirations. Unfortunately, our dreams remain just that – dreams. And our aspirations easily collect dust in our attic.

This is a sad turn of events in our life. Instead of experiencing exciting adventures in self actualization, we get caught up in the humdrum of living from day-to-day just barely existing.

But you know what? Life could be so much better, if only we learned to aim higher.

The most common problem to setting goals is the word impossible. Most people get hung up thinking I can’t do this. It’s too hard. It’s too impossible. No one can do this.

However, if everyone thought that, there would be no inventions, no innovations, and no breakthroughs in human accomplishment.

Remember that scientists were baffled when they took a look at the humble bumblebee. Theoretically, they said, it was impossible for the bumblebee to fly. Unfortunately for the bumblebee no one has told it so. So fly it does.

On the other hand, some people suffer from dreaming totally outrageous dreams and not acting on them. The result? Broken dreams, and tattered aspirations.

If you limit yourself with self-doubt, and self-limiting assumptions, you will never be able to break past what you deem impossible. If you reach too far out into the sky without working towards your goal, you will find yourself clinging on to the impossible dream.

Try this exercise. Take a piece of paper and write down some goals in your life. Under one header, list down things ‘you know you can do’. Under another header, write the things ‘you might be able to do.’ And under one more, list the things that that are ‘impossible for you to do.’

Now look at all the headers strive every day to accomplish the goals that are under things ‘you know you can do’. Check them when you are able to accomplish them. As you slowly are able to check all of your goals under that heading, try accomplishing the goals under the other header-the one that reads ‘you might be able to do.’

As of the items you wrote under things I could do are accomplished, you can move the goals that are under things that are ‘impossible for you to do’ to the list of things ‘you might be able to do.’

As you iterate through this process, you will find out that the goals you thought were impossible become easier to accomplish. And the impossible begin to seem possible after all.

You see, the technique here is not to limit your imagination. It is to aim high, and start working towards that goal little by little. However, it also is unwise to set a goal that is truly unrealistic.

Those who just dream towards a goal without working hard end up disappointed and disillusioned.

On the other hand, if you told someone a hundred years ago that it was possible for man to be on the moon, they would laugh at you. If you had told them that you could send mail from here to the other side of the world in a few seconds, they would say you were out of your mind. But, through sheer desire and perseverance, these impossible dreams are now realities.

Thomas Edison once said that genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. Nothing could be truer. For one to accomplish his or her dreams, there has to be had work and discipline. But take note that that 1% has to be a think-big dream, and not some easily accomplished one.

Ask any gym rat and he or she will tell you that there can be no gains unless you are put out of your comfort zone. Remember the saying, “No pain, no gain”? That is as true as it can be.

So dream on, friend! Don’t get caught up with your perceived limitations. Think big and work hard to attain those dreams. As you step up the ladder of progress, you will just about find out that the impossible has just become a little bit more possible.
