Now Is The Time!

At the beginning of the year, the frenzy was all about setting of goals and I am sure you have one, if not plenty of goals set for the year. A lot of us have lofty goals to be this and that, this year. To so many of us, twelve months is a long way to achieve our dreams. Talks of us having plenty times on our hands, is what dominated our mind in January, now December is upon us.

Thinking there is enough time on our hands to achieve whatever we desire, is being naïve. When the thought of 365 days or 5, 10, 20 years crosses some people’s minds, they seem to see these days/years as a pretty long time that may never come too soon.

Those who don’t understand the concept of time, NEVER achieve anything in life. This November makes it exactly ten years I came across the Internet. I can still remember vividly the morning I went into a cyber café to witness the wonder called the Internet and the glow in my eyes. Back then, I made a decision to KNOW everything about the Internet, master it to any level and pass on the knowledge to others.

This wasn’t just a mere wish that will fade away with the passage of time. I could have waited more years but didn’t. I was studying Mechanical Engineering then but I didn’t wait for me to graduate before I got started. The very day I set that goal for myself, was the very day I started asking questions and looking for ways to do something with the Internet.

There is no better time to start working on your dream that TODAY! Don’t look at how big the dream is, never focus on having all that you will need to accomplish the dream before you start. Look for what you can start with and begin to do something NOW!

When you get started, anyhow, you will be led to greater discoveries that will even transcend what you have envisaged. You will increase in wisdom while following your dreams and all you have not figured out will be revealed along the way, till you get to where you are going.

By making up my mind to start in my journey of mastering the Internet, see all I have learnt: Web Designing, Internet marketing/Ebusiness, Blogging, Joomla, Forum, Script Installations etc. I haven’t heard of any of these before I got started but when I took the first step, I kept entering doors after doors.

I don’t know your dream(s) but all I know is that with the first step taken today, no matter how long it takes, you will definitely achieve it.

Remember the Chinese proverb, “a journey of a thousand miles, starts with a STEP!” Take that step today, TAKE IT NOW!
