There are so many times things dream of accomplishing, never work out the way we wanted. Sometimes, it seems the object of your desire, your dream, may not realize after all. You will get to a point that you will see the dream as an exercise in futility and you begin to contemplate whether it is worth carrying on. All I have to tell you is that you hold on firmly to your dream because it is surely going to come to pass.

As a young guy following his dreams, I faced a lot of challenges. The business I started with nothing was showing no sign of growth and things were very difficult for me.
One decision I made before leaving the University was that I will NEVER go about in search of paid employment and when things weren’t working out, temptations to rescind on my decision were coming in droves. A lot of pressure was mounted on me to drop my ambition and go in search of a job that will be bringing regular income, but I stood by my decision and decided to trudge on. I persisted, having faith in the realisation of my dreams and the rest is now history.
“Faith is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see.” Heb. 11:1 (NLT)
Faith is a powerful force that the whole of humanity is yet to embrace. Most people have read the quoted verse several times yet it has not been imbibed into their lives. So many people can afford to live below their God-given potentials because they have not been able to have faith in themselves and all that the scripture has said concerning them.
Well, today is the very day we all have been looking forward to for a while. I am so grateful to the Almighty God for sparing my life to see the break of a new dawn and to witness another of this very day. I look at my life and I see Him because left to me, it is impossible to do everything I have been doing. I see myself as the product of His grace. So many people came to the July 12th seminar and had to pinch themselves to believe they are seeing right, because who they were seeing does not tally with the person they thought is behind the screen doing all the wonders.
The fourth part of my story started immediately I completed my University education. Months before I finished, I was sure of what I wanted to do and my decision was to start as soon as possible. I made a crazy decision not to go for my Youth Service because I saw it as a waste of time and something that has nothing to do with my future.
It appears as a HUGE joke to all and sundry but it was as if fate was on my side because for like two years, my set’s couldn’t go for service due to so many factors that are inexplicable. During this period, I decided to get all the trainings I could get in order to be prepared for the future.
I hope you are enjoying my story. In case you have missed anyone, Visit the links below to read them:
The third phase of my life did not start after I finished school but before I did. The second phase ended the very moment I discovered myself and the latent potentials within me. That was when I decided NEVER to settle for less in my life and also to make the most of all that I have within me.
Big regards to all those that have bothered to comment on my first post in this series. That is so thoughtful of you and I hope you all enjoy today’s post, which takes us through the beginning and the end of the second phase in my life.
My journey through Lagos State University is a very interesting one. I termed this the second phase of my life because it brought me through a lot of realities that I will NEVER forget in my life. In fact, the transformation I experienced started while I was in LASU.
