No matter how busy you are, make sure to find some time over the two weeks to reflect, think, give and plan.
The week between Christmas and New Year’s is the ideal time for this. Try to slow things down. Spend time with the ones you love and care about. Take some time to talk with your spouse and kids about goals and dreams for the next year. Use this as a time to recharge your batteries (and not just by watching TV the entire time), and with excitement, think about a handful of changes or additions you want for your life in the new year.

This post commences a marathon of posts I promised the last time and these posts will continue for as long as I am satisfied everyone reading is fully ready and motivated to make this year the best they’ve had so far.
I have observed that people are fired up to make the year a successful one, at the beginning of every year, but along the line something happens and they just lose the steam with which they started the year. I have been there before and I know what it looks like to look back at an outgoing year and wonder where one got it all wrong.

I am sure a lot of people will be wondering why I have not posted any article for the year. Today is the 7th of January and no New Year greetings whatsoever. It is surely strange. Well, I have been looking at the euphoria exhibited by people for seeing the New Year and I did received numerous sms at the break of the New Year and I hardly sent one for a reason.

The euphoria created by the victory of Barack Hussein Obama is yet to subside and I am not sure it will do so sooner. Every newspaper has one thing or the other to write about this history maker and I even read yesterday that babies are now being named Barack Obama all over the world. I am sure some adults will start filing for change of names pretty soon

Just about everyone has heard, and most people agree to some extent, that goal setting is a great way to get yourself where you want to go in life. If you feel you can’t seem to reach the life you know you were born to lead, then effective goals can be a great motivating force.
As you begin to set and achieve goals your self confidence will grow astronomically. But where do you start and what will make your goals worthwhile? This article will help you to start setting effective goals which will lead you where you want to go in life.

I am terming this week, the goals week and I will be sharing articles on Goals Setting and what it can do for anyone. The article I am sharing with you today, is one I wrote some years back and was able to pull out of my archives. I am sure you will enjoy it so much:
Happy Reading
“Would you get into a taxi and tell the cabby, ‘Driver anywhere’?
Would you wander onto the first plane you saw at the gate without bothering to ask where it is flying?

Some days back, I had the opportunity of speaking with a lady and ever since I have not been able to erase the lessons I learnt that day from my memory. I just couldn’t believe all I heard that precious night because it was like a story of impossibility. After listening to the lady’s story, I promised myself I will have to share the story with everyone I know. I have shared it with my fiancee and she was as dazed as I was afterwards.
