When I was in the University, I used to be scared when I look at the day I will leave the system. The prevalent thought then is that things are difficult out there that there are no jobs for those that have graduated talk less of those that are about graduating. Coupled with the quality of education I was getting then, I was really scared stiff because I couldn’t see how I will be able to compete favourably with those that have undergone quality education. I was always praying to God to help me out of my dilemma.

Well, today is the very day we all have been looking forward to for a while. I am so grateful to the Almighty God for sparing my life to see the break of a new dawn and to witness another of this very day. I look at my life and I see Him because left to me, it is impossible to do everything I have been doing. I see myself as the product of His grace. When Dorothy was five years old, she was taken to a hospital for tonsillectomy. Most youngsters would have been frightened, or at least apprehensive, but Dorothy wasn’t. She was fascinated by the wondrous world of medicine in which she found herself. People helping other people by relieving pain, setting broken bones, curing diseases. Then and there, Dorothy Brown decided that some day she would be part of that world. She was only five years old, but she set a goal for herself: Eventually she would become a doctor.
