Becoming Your Best: The first step to changing the world

I have heard a lot of people say they want to change the world. In fact, I have had to question whether it is innate for every human on earth to want to change the world because virtually everyone wants to do so. In the pursuit of changing the world, we have missing the first step which is becoming our best! All the people who have change the world have paid great price of becoming best of themselves; and you know, the world have a special place for that man who have made best use of himself!

I was in Dowen college Lekki Phase 1 Lagos �yesterday for a meeting, coincidentally D’banj and the Mo’hits crew also came around. What a great fortune! Before my meeting I had to go to the hall for a relaxation moment with D’banj. All the students were waiting for the “Koko Master”, the humble millionaire Artiste bounced in with his crew and started doing his thing. It was his birthday yesterday so he decided to spend it with the student before going to “Koko Lunch”. You may be asking why all this story? Well like I have on the topic becoming your best! D’banj i a clear example of who has become his best.

After all the music razzmatazz, 3 top graduating students were brought out to meet with him. It was his birthday but he gave out scholarship gift of a whopping $60,000 (N9,000,000) to the students! What a huge amount to part with!

If D’banj has not become his best where everyone is shouting �credit crunch� would he have been able to give this student scholarship? If He’d not been his best would he have been honoured at all? If he has not being his best would he have been appointed the youth ambassador by the Nigerian House of Rep.? Would Glo have splashed N50,000,000 ($333,333) on him for endorsement?

I understand we all want to change the world and it�s a great feat to be aimed at by a living soul! Honestly I also want to change the world, but I must tell you that, a new perspective have to be understood; becoming our best! The basic requirement to standing out in our world is to become your best. The world will stand still for a man who knows where he is going, as the saying goes.

So do you really want to change the world? No! No! No! I mean genuinely want to change the world? Then become your best!
