Barack Obama: It Sure Pay To Have A Dream!

Barack Hussein Obama: A Beacon of Hope
The U.S. Presidential Election has come and gone and the lessons will remain with us forever. Looking back to what I have been saying for a while on this blog, I am sure you will now believe me that we all can achieve whatever we want to achieve if only we can believe it is possible.
Barack Hussein Obama came into the race for the White House with nothing but a dream. He started the race as “that one,” an object of ridicule but he never wavered in his desire to become the President of the Greatest Nation on earth, the United States of America. Now we all can see where his dream has led him to.
He stood up against opponents he would normally have been intimidated by their profile. He was definitely a no match for Hillary Clinton or John McCain but he was able to come out to the people as a charismatic leader and someone that knows what he wants. His message of change resonates with what the people desires most and even his critics couldn’t help but admire him.
What I have learnt from my study of dreamers, right from the beginning of the world, is that they get whatsoever they have dared to dream about. No matter how big the dream is, the dreamer will always have it not minding how long it takes. I don’t know how long Obama has been dreaming of occupying the White House, but it is evident that this is a dream he believed in so much and he gave his all to achieve it.
“The whole world stand aside to let him pass, who knows where he is going,” is a saying I heard years ago and it is always coming true in the life of every dreamer. When you declare a dream, people will laugh at you, but if you did not allow that to get to you and stop you from following the dream, you will find out that people that have ridiculed you will later come to applaud you. You must NEVER allow people’s opinion stop you from following your dream.
They laughed at Joseph, Henry Ford, Abraham Lincoln, Napoleon Hill, Walt Disney, Ted Turner, Anita Roddick, Bill Gates, Steve Job and even Brack Obama was ridiculed for daring to dream. If this great people were laughed at, at an early stage, in the pursuit of their dreams, and they eventually achieved their heart desires, the moral of their stories, that we all need to pursue our dreams no matter what the obstacles are, should be held close to our heart.
It cost nothing to dream and if you are going to dream, copy Obama and dream BIG! I have learnt that there is no gain in dreaming small because what ever you dream will surely come to pass. Most of the dreams I had years ago, that I thought were big, have been achieved and I realised I still need BIGGER dreams for the future. I can now borrow a leaf from Obama and even dream BIGGER than I am doing now
Now that you know that there is no dream that is too BIG to achieve, what are you going to do my friend? Will you continue to play small or dream BIG? Will you continue to complain about things you don’t have or circumstances not being in your favour? Do you realise that Obama is an orphan? He lost his father to an automobile accident in the 80s and his mother to cancer in the 90s so what are you complaining about?
Barack Obama has proved to us all that NOTHING is impossible and it is our duty to live with this truth. We have a choice in this matter to continue living without a dream or to pick up a dream and start start pursuing it. Remember, this is just a CHOICE!
Thanks Barack for teaching us this important life lesson. Wishing you well in your drive to take America back to where it belongs!

Thanks Oni,
Great write up on OBAMA and the power of dream. You have already said it all that the WHOLE WORLD WILL STAND ASIDE TO LET HIM PASS, THAT KNOW WHERE HIS GOING!! So we need to dream big and Now that you OBAMA has let us to know that there is no dream that is too BIG to achieve if one really set minds mind to achieve it and l have lent a big lesson from Mr OBAMA case that one can achieve anything one set his mind on provided that his ready to pursue it with all his zeal and I’m an ENTREPRENEUR and l have this big Dream of getting my small start up company JODELL GROUPS INC quoted on the on the NIGERIA STOCK EXCHANGE on or before the year 2020 and always think it too a big dream for me to achieve with regards to my presents circumstances both family and education background but OBAMA case hs make me to believe that one can achieve any dream no matter how BIG is it provided that with self believe, zeal ,focus, persistences and hard work one can achieve any dream in the world no matter how BIG THE DREAM IS.
l think OBAMA winning of the USA president should act as a catalyst to my fellow Nigeria and Africa youth on the power one to dream big and hold onto it no matter once present condition and circumstances.

This is wonderful! It’s a fast one. Although I thought you were on break! Obama fished you out?
Anyway, the one sure thing the world can depend on is that America will always surprise us.
It is also a reassurance that no matter the situation, if one keeps focus on a dream, it can be achieved.

I think u got it wrong by saying obama is an orphan. His father is in kenya. His sister is equally in the states. His grandmother just passed on 2 days b4 d elections. Either ways, his life is worth emulating.
Bola,
Thanks for the Obama article and lesson to learn from the number one President.
No matter how long it take we are going to surprise the world.
Thank so much for your effort, i appreciate it.
WOW! Where exactly do I start. These are GREAT comments and I will try as much as possible to reply everyone!
John, GREAT, GREAT COMMENT! Now that Obama has taken the lead, I am sure you can follow. Let me tell you one thing, 2020 may be too far away, meaning you can even achieve the dream before then.

Hi Bola,
I was following up obama presidential speechs right from the primary election, is a man that has high spirit and profile.
He has make the dream of his forefather, king martin luther that said i foresee a little black boy, black girl and a little white boy, white girl holding hands together walking along the stress as brother and sister.
The dreams has comes to pass,i believe American needs a change and which is the slogan of obama presidential speechs.
Well, myself right from the announcement that barrack obama has won the presidential election, i decided that moment to think BIG and EXPENSIVE.
Regards
martins
Martins, I believe we all don’t have any choice than to dream BIGGER than we have been doing at the moment.
It is now time to start reviewing what we call our dream, they may not be up to the scale now.
Bola you are in line. Obama just reminded us of the truth that have been with us .That is- you can do all things through Christ who strenghtens you. It is a spiritual law which the creator put in place .It only requires faith to grab it. Obama saw and believed and refused to let go that his mind has conceived .So will it be for anyone who believes and refuses to let go his dream. It is not about how wonderful America is but how tenaciously American people hold to that which they believe in .
u are doing a very good job.its indeed a great lesson for all.i wish u luck in your carrer
